A very quiet Istanbul early december 2003 just after the HSBC bombings. The city was empty and cold but the atmospere was great.
The only scary moment had nothing to do with the attacks. It was actually in the hammam (bathhouse), being squeezed to a near death during a massage by a small guy with a big moustache (thought I was safe when I didn't choose the other guy, the giant wrestler).
